Well-networked in the home office

Video Networking

Many people currently work from home, which is undoubtedly challenging. Random encounters at the coffee machine, shared lunch breaks in the canteen or short conversations in the hallway – none of this happens at times. Support your employees in maintaining personal contact with colleagues (at least virtually). Our tool selects participants at random and organizes lunches and coffee breaks in a video conference.

How Video Networking works

One-time, individual registration

We create a customized registration page for your company. Your employees register independently via browser or smartphone. Click here for an example.

Regular, automated calendar invitations

Participating employees regularly receive calendar invitations for mutual lunches and coffee breaks in a video conference.

Matching and notification

Once an employee accepts the invitation, he gets matched with a colleague and receives an updated calendar entry with a link to enter the video conference.

Features

Networking in the home office

Smart networking despite physical distance. Lunches and coffee breaks (even if only online) strengthen the feeling of solidarity and keep the team spirit high.

Can be used with any video conferencing system

The video lunches and coffee breaks can be held with any video conferencing system, such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Skype, Teamviewer, WebEx or via our own video solution.

Extensive preference settings

Users can make various settings, e.g. select preferred weekdays and specify the frequency of invitations.

Automated appointment coordination

Workdate not only matches the participants but also coordinates the appointments. The tool sends appointment requests, processes the answers, and blocks the times in the calendar.

Selectable group size

The video lunches and coffee breaks can take place in pairs or in a group.

Multilingual

Workdate supports many languages. During registration, a user can specify the language for further communication.

User profile

Users can log in to their profile, make changes, adjust preferences, or terminate their participation at any time.

Online dashboard for project managers

Project managers have access to an online dashboard. This dashboard indicates real-time information on the number of participants, activity rate, number of video meetings held, attendance and cancellation rates, and much more.

Case study

Helsana AG

The system is easy to understand and very intuitive. In addition, it could be easily adapted to our requirements (we use Workdate at five locations and in three languages). It also fits in well with the employees’ daily work, as it takes individual preferences and availability into account.

Case study

Additional modules

The system has a modular structure. The modules Workdate, Video Networking, Job Shadowing and Mentoring can be combined as desired or used as independent applications.

The classic

Classical Workdate

The Workdate module takes over the organization of face-to-face lunches, coffee breaks, and after-work meetings. Both the matching of participants and the coordination of appointments are automated.

Thinking outside the box

Job Shadowing

Job Shadowing allows participants to look over their colleagues’ shoulders for a day. This module brings together interested parties and hosts, considers individual learning preferences, and assists in scheduling appointments.

Knowledge transfer

Mentoring

The Mentoring module supports your employees in their search for a suitable mentor. Classically, or as reverse mentoring. The system proposes suggestions, organizes an initial meeting, and plans further sessions.
